Description: Environmentally friendly
arrangement
We make an alternative arrangement based on the environmentally friendly
principle. You need a container, vase or pot, wire netting (growers use
this for Chrysanthemum growing and for other flowers, it has a hole size
of 10 till 12 cm. You choose flowers you like, I have used Zantedeschia.
Tip. when you not can find this wire netting, you also can make it from
old metal of copper wire or you use a smaller size.)
We need for this lesson:
Step by step:
- Choose flowers 50 cm long. This is depending how big you want to
make the arrangement.
- Clean the stems and remove the too many leaves till about one third.
(This is not necessary by Zantedeschia, Gerbera and some other species)
- Prepare flowers and leaves.
- Arrange the wire netting in the container and bring it in shape.
With the short metal parts you can fix it together. Bend the wire
netting in a good shape.
- Put in the flowers between the wire netting on the same height.
- Use the leaves on top of the container.
- Fill the vase each day with water.
Materials: Zantedeschia elliottiana, Asparagus virgatus.
